Attack Volleyball League for 6th-7th Grade Girls
and Advanced 5th Grade Girls
This league is designed to improve volleyball skills at a more advanced level. Volleyball skills training will be the main goal. The first two weeks will be all volleyball skills training. Beginning the third week, we will play a game during the last 30 minutes of each session. Each player will be placed on a team and stay with the same group of girls the entire 2 months. The same professional coach will remain with the same group of girls during each skills training session. The games will be overseen by a professional coach but not necessarily the same coach that conducted the training session. The games will be officiated by the professional coach in charge of that particular court.
The focus will be on proper volleyball techniques and learning to play as a team. We will continually teach pass, set and hit, which are the basics of volleyball.
DATES: January 5th, 2011 - February 23rd, 2011
DAY: Every Wednesday evening for 8 Weeks
TIME: 7:00-8:30pm
- One hour of volleyball skills training followed by a 30 minute volleyball match. Scores and standings will be kept for games.
- May register individually, with a friend or as a team(each player must complete separate registration form)
- The first two nights will be an organized practice and evaluation for individual players
- Culminates in a one-night, season ending tournament with seedings based on reults of previous games.
- Volleyball t-shirts will be provided for a team or teams may wear their own jersey or t-shirt
- Professional Coaches for instruction
- Volunteer Coaches (Interested Moms and Dads) are welcome for team support and substitution during 30 minute games only.
- Lowered nets and closer serving lines will be used
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION: $150/player (add $7 for Attack t-shirt)
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION FOR 4 OR MORE PLAYERS: $140/player (Add $7 for Attack t-shirt). Must register by mail or in person to receive discount.
TEAM REGISTRATION: $1075 per team. Add $7/player if Attack t-shirts are needed. Must register by mail or in person to receive team discount.
You may register on-line or print out the registration form and bring to The MAC or you may mail the form with payment to The MAC. Every player must have a t-shirt or specially designed shirt for league play.
