12 and Under Teams
This age group consists primarily of 6th grade girls. Some "highly advanced" 5th grade players may also participate.
This season, Attack will form teams with 2 different schedules. We realize, at this young age, that many girls participate in various other activities such as soccer, basketball, cheer, dance and many other activites.
We will form 2 teams at the 12 and under level.
1. Attack Navy teams. This team will practice twice weekly from the first of December through April. Each practice will last 2 hours. No practice during Christmas week or Spring Break. The Navy team will play in seven (7) tournaments during the season including the North TX Region Championship.
2. Attack White team This team will practice twice weekly from the first of December through the end of March. The season will end in mid-April. No practice during Christmas week or Spring Break. The white team will play in six (6) tournaments during the season.
Over 90% of the 6th grade girls that played club with Attack made the 7th grade A team the following year. Volleyball is not easy and it takes many repetitions to become a good player. This is the case no matter how athletic any player is. We want to give an opportunity for as many girls as possible to get advanced training before Middle School. Club volleyball cannot be replaced for gaining quality experience. The tournaments are challenging and the number of serious practices will allow for significant improvement.
We will be flexible in forming more than one team in each category if we have that need. If we have enough interest in forming a "limited time" team (4 tournaments, 1 practice/week), we will consider that possibility.
